DAY 1, ARRIVAL - ANTANANARIVO

Arrival at the international airport of Ivato-Antananarivo. Upon arrival, meet with our staff at the custom area. Assistance for visa delivery and luggage formalities. Transfer to your hotel.
Accommodation on Bed and Breakfast basis.

DAY 2, ANTANANARIVO – ANDASIBE (150Km, +/- 4 Hours)

After breakfast, pick up at your hotel. This morning, before heading on to Andasibe, we will embark on a short city tour of Antananarivo by car. With its bustling markets and ancient town on a hill with freestone churches and ancient royal places, it is unique among the world’s other capitals. Built around Anosy Lake, Tana offers much of interest set against a backdrop of terracing with outstanding views from the Queen's Palace.Afterwards, we will drive eastward to Andasibe. On the way, stop at the Peyreiras reptiles farm for observing different endemic species of chameleons, lizards, geckoes, frogs.
Continue and stop in Moramanga for lunch (at your charge). Arrival in Andasibe in the mid-afternoon. Installation in your room.
Accommodation on Half Board basis for 3nights.

DAY 3, ANDASIBE

Breakfast at your hotel then embark for half day excursion in the Analamazaotra rainforest concession, home to the Indri, the largest surviving lemur. These include Diademed sifaka, vociferous Black & white ruffed lemurs, Red-bellied lemurs and wonderful birds, notably all four the rainforest-dependent Ground-rollers. Please note that the trails here are narrower than they are in 'Perinet'/Andasibe and traverse steeper slopes so can be slippery during or after inclement weather. In the park you may see iconic 'herps' (reptiles and frogs) such as the enormous emerald Parson's chameleon and with luck, colourful Painted mantellas. Lunch in restaurant (at your charge).In the afternoon, we visit the Vakona Private park including its lemurs Island where you can spot closely some wonderful lemurs and actives animals.
Before dinner, evening walk along the road to spot active wildlife.
Dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 4, ANDASIBE

In the morning after breakfast, pick up at your hotel and explore the rainforest concession administered by exemplary NGO Association Mitsinjo. This will be sure to reveal an interesting assemblage of active animals which emerge from their daytime hideouts after dusk. This association has also a center for the reforestation project where we can spot nursery trees during the visit.
In the afternoon, after lunch (at your charge) we will visit the VOIMMA reserve. This is a community run reserve where you are able to see several species of lemurs and birds. The reserve is an untouched paradise for endemic animals and plants. There are groups of Indris which we hope to see here in their natural habitat, and their white-headed relatives, the Diademed sifakas, jump between the tree tops. For reptiles and amphibian lovers, the reserve offers countless frogs along its crystal clear river and several amazing chameleons can be found in the forest.
Back to the hotel after the visit.Dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 5, ANDASIBE - ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE(280km, +/- 7hours)

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive back to Antananarivo and continuation southward to Antsirabe always through the typical landscape of the highland (rice fields, typical villages of the Merina tribe, rocky hills….). Continue and arrival in Antsirabe in the afternoon, installation in your room.

DAY 6, ANTSIRABE – RANOMAFANA( 230km, +/- 6hours)

Breakfast at the hotel. Then city tour in the town of Antsirabe which is the Industrial and agricultural center of Madagascar. The town is well known as well on precious and semi-precious stones. Continuation to Ambositra after the visit. Arrival in Ambositra the capital of the Malagasy handicrafts. Visit of different handicrafts shops then lunch in a restaurant (at your own charge). In the afternoon, continuation to Ranomafana. Leaving the highland and heading to the south eastern of Madagascar in crossing the area of the Tanala tribe.
Upon arrival, installation at the hotel. Accommodation on Half Board basis in your hotel for 3 nights

DAY 7 - 8, RANOMAFANA

Two days spent for exploring the Ranomafana National Park.
Walking in the park where three species of bamboo lemurs are found (grey bamboo lemur, golden bamboo lemur and the greater bamboo lemur) as well as other lemur species as the Milen’sedwardssifaka, common brown lemur, red bellied lemur might be also spotted during the visit.
Endemic birds as the ground rollers, vangas, couas, brown mesite, coukoo rollers, asity…. are found as well within this forest.In the afternoon, visit of theVohiparara forest which is well known for a bird watching site and where you might spot the yellow bellied asity, the Madagascar Yellowbrow, Madagascar forest fody, Cryptic warbler.The second day, in the afternoon, we visit the Tanala village where we can see and experience their daily life.
In evening we have night walk to see active animals.

DAY 9, RANOMAFANA - AMBALAVAO – RANOHIRA (310km, +/- 8hours)

After breakfast, continuation southward to Ambalavao. Arrival in Ambalavao. Visit of the Antemoro paper factory. After the visit, continuation to Ranohira. Different photo stops on the way: the south gate, the bishops hat, the Horombe table land where the Reunion Harrier bird might be spotted.Arrival in Ranohira by the end of the afternoon. Installation at the hotel. Accommodation on Half Board basis for 2 nights.

DAY 10 - 11, RANOHIRA

Two days spent to explore the National Park of Isalo.Drive to the village of Ranohira for picking your local guide. Transfer to the parking area where you are starting walking towards the famous “Piscine Naturelle” through the beautiful landscape of Isalo National Park and endemic plants as the Aloes, Pachypodium,Kalanchoes, Tapia trees….. Pending time for about 30minutes at the pool then continuation of your walk towards the Namaza site which takes is about 02hours.Arrival at the camping site of Namaza,with chance enjoying already to observe the ring tailed lemur in the same time. In the afternoon, walk until the Cascade des Nymphes. Possibility of spotting birds including the endemic Benson’s Rockthrush. Joining the parking after the visit, and drive back to your hotel.Dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 12, RANOHIRA - TOLIARA - IFATY

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the arboretum Antsokay and then drive to Ifaty.
You can enjoy yourself by spotting birds on the way.
Accommodation on half Board Basis at your hotel for 3 nights.

DAY 13, IFATY

Breakfast in hotel then visit of the Reniala spiny forest for a birdwatching. Possibility of spotting the long-tailed ground roller, the subdertmesite, the green capped coua, the subdsert warbler, the thamnornis warbler, the common newtonia, the archboldnewtonia, the striped throated Jery, the Sickle billed vanga, the chabertsvanga. After spending some hours at Reniala reserve, back to Ifaty, rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 14, IFATY - TOLIARA - ANTANANARIVO

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure until transfer. In agreed time transfer to the airport. Flight to Antananarivo. Meeting at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Accommodation on Half Board basis

DAY 15, ANTANANARIVO – FLIGHT BACK HOME

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport. Possibility to do shopping at the handcrafts market of la digue before your transfer to the airport. Assistance for your flight back home.
