DAY 1, ARRIVAL ANTANANARIVO
Arrival at the airport of Ivato- Antananarivo from Nairobi.Our team will welcome you at the custom area.After the visa formalities, meet and transfer to your hotel.Accommodation on Half board Basis at Relais des Plateaux or similar.
DAY 2, ANTANANARIVO - ANDASIBE (150km, +/- 4 HOURS )
After breakfast at your hotel, pick up in the morning by your driver then a 4-hour drive eastward to Andasibe through the typical landscape of the highland and the eastern rainforest. On the way, stop at the Peyrieras reptiles farm for observing different endemic species of chameleons, lizards, geckoes, frogs. Afterwards, continue and arrival to the rainforest of Andasibe. Visit of the reserve of VOIMMA. In the evening, we will spot some nocturnal wonderful wildlife along the main road, as the mouse lemurs, chameleons, frogs. Back to the hotel after the night walk visit.Accommodation on Half Board Basis at Vakona Forest Lodge for 2 nights or similar.
DAY 3, ANDASIBE (Analamazaotra Special Reserve and Lemurs’ Island of Vakona)
Breakfast at the hotel, then visit of the Special reserve of Analamazaotra for spotting the largest living lemur of Madagascar the Indri Indri.In the afternoon, visit of the private reserve of Vakona and its islet of lemurs.Accommodation on Half Board Basis at Vakona Forest Lodge or similar..
DAY 4, ANDASIBE – ANTANANARIVO (+/-4 hours)
Breakfast at your hotel. Drive back to Antananarivo leaving the rainforest. Upon arrival, we will do a short city tour of Antananarivo with its colourful life, its history and architecture. We will see the busy and vibrant streets of the capital from the lower city, the avenue of Independence, the Analakely market, the famous stairs of Antananarivo to reach the business center of the capital. We continue our ascent and you will be introduced to the architecture and urbanism of the capital of Madagascar from the Old City. Transfer to your hotel after the visit.Accommodation on Half Board Basis at Relais des Plateaux or similar.
DAY 5, ANTANANARIVO - MANDRARE RIVER CAMP by charter 09h30 – 12h05( on Mondays & Thursdays )
After breakfast, drive to Ivato airport for a morning flight to Mandrare River Camp (3hrs) with our scheduled charter. Upon arrival at the Camp, settle into your tent and enjoy the majestic views over the Mandrare River.A 3 course lunch is served on our river terrace.Around 5pm depart for a night walk into the Forest of Zenavo. This is a fantastic way to see diurnal lemurs bedding down, and the nocturnal lemurs begin to wake in the eerie and prehistoric Spiny Forest. You will spot Sifaka and sleeping White-foot Sportive lemurs, then once the sun has set, two mouse lemur species, sleeping birds, chameleons, owls and now active Sportive lemurs.Overnight at Mandrare River Camp for 04Nights (All inclusive)
DAY 6, MANDRARE RIVER CAMP
After a cup of tea or coffee, head to the Spiny Forest for an early morning walk. Witness the sunlight break through the octopus trees while looking out for the many endemic birds such as Crested Coua, a variety of Vangas and the Running Coua.Head back to the Camp for a sumptuous breakfast followed by a visit to the local market (on Thursdays and Saturdays) or the local village to meet the fascinating Antandroy tribe.Lunch will be served at the Camp followed by a relaxed afternoon watching life along the river from your tent terrace.At 5pm, depart for sundowners amidst the baobabs. Watching the sun set and moon rise with a view across the Baobabs to the mountains beyond is a magical experience. In the evening the local village may come to perform beautiful traditional dances, accompanied by singing and music. Song and dance is at the heart of Antandroy culture and is used to accompany the major rituals and events of everyday life.
DAY 7, MANDRARE RIVER CAMP

DAY 8, MANDRARE RIVER CAMP
After breakfast depart for a day trip to the stunning Lac Anony. This salt water lake is separated from the Indian Ocean by a series of large sand dunes and is home to Greater Flamingos and a variety of salt water birds. The lake is a two hour drive from the Camp. On arrival, walk along the lake shore to a beautiful picnic spot. Then scale the 70 foot high sand dunes for an incredible view of the surrounding area and go for a swim in the lake. Return to the Camp in time for dinner.
DAY 9, MANDRARE RIVER CAMP – ANTANANARIVO
After the breakfast, transfer by charter to Antananarivo.Meeting at the airport and assistance for your flight back to Johannesburg or Nairobi.
